Was quoted $79 on the phone for one room end of lease clean. When the cleaner showed up he said because it had not had a clean in a year it would be $169 for a 'deeper clean' even though the carpet was not dirty. Disappointed that this was not discussed on the phone quote prior.

Expert Guidance for Handling Flood Situations

At Flood Assist, we understand that floods, whether large or small, can be overwhelming. Drawing upon our extensive two-decade experience, we offer you some valuable tips to initiate prompt action before our team arrives:

    • Prioritize Safety

If your safety is at risk due to rising water levels or electrical hazards such as water reaching power points or causing smoke, evacuate the premises immediately. Dial emergency services at 000 if necessary

    • Contact Our Experts

Our expert team operates swiftly. Upon your call, we dispatch a team, aiming to reach your location within 60 minutes. Our primary goal is to stabilize the situation and prevent further damage.

    • Halt the Water Flow

In case of a burst pipe, turn off the main water supply located near the service area or at the property's front. If needed, contact a plumber for guidance

    • Facilitate Airflow

Open doors, windows, and use fans to promote air circulation. This aids in moisture removal, kick-starting the natural drying process and ensuring a safe environment until our arrival

    • Safety First

Always wear appropriate footwear to prevent accidents and minimize water contamination to your feet and hands.

    • Power Off

If water reaches downlights or causes electrical short circuits, swiftly turn off the power at the fuse box, typically located outside the front door or on the front side of the house.

    • Protect Valuables

Safeguard your prized possessions. To prevent potential carpet staining, relocate small items to the garage or tiled areas. Avoid placing wet items on dry carpets. Use plastic bags under the feet of timber furniture to prevent staining. Leave the heavy lifting to our trained team

    • Contaminated Water

If the water source is contaminated, such as sewerage overflow or external water infiltration, considered category 3 (black water), exercise extra caution to prevent cross-contamination. Evacuate affected areas until our team arrives to assess, sanitize, and provide further guidance.
